Due to sustained growth, we are seeking experienced and talented Avionics Apprentice Technicians to join the Spirit Aeronautics team.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: An Avionics Apprentice is responsible, under direct supervision, to perform the removal/installation of avionics components, fabricate wire harnesses, perform avionics system installations, make wire terminations, perform wiring ring-outs, and perform functional tests of avionics systems. Must also be able to troubleshoot with minimal error the most complex avionics and Cabin Management Systems (CMS).
SALARY: Range: $14.00 to $18.00 per hour. Starting salary will be determined on an individual basis, in accordance with successful candidate’s relevant skill set and work experience. Relocation is available for prior military personnel only for this position.
REQUIREMENTS: • High school diploma or GED. Associates degree or higher in Aviation Maintenance desired. • 2 years of avionics related experience and/or training in an approved FAA Part 147 school or military. • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints and maintenance manuals. • Ability to read, write and speak the English language. • Valid FAA Airframe (A) or Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license highly desired. Eligibility for a FAA Repairman Certificate required. • All applicants must be able to pass a very stringent John Glenn International Airport background review and DOT Safety-Sensitive Drug screen. • Must be able to travel on short notice and be open to flexible work schedules. • Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
